**Job Summary**:
CTDC is excited to announce a 1-year training project designed to support individuals in finishing trades. This initiative is aimed at providing participants with the knowledge, skills, and mentorship needed to excel in their respective fields. To support this project, we are seeking an experienced **Career Coach** who is passionate about helping individuals achieve their career goals.

As a Career Coach, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to individuals seeking career development and advancement. Your role will involve helping clients identify their strengths, interests, and goals, and assisting them in creating effective job search strategies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build professional networks within the finishing trades industry and facilitate introductions to potential employers, mentors, and industry leaders as needed
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with clients to assess their career goals and develop personalized action plans
- Provide guidance on resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies
- Assist clients in identifying their skills, strengths, and areas for improvement
- Offer support and encouragement throughout the career development process
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and job market changes to provide relevant advice
- Collaborate with other career professionals to support training program success and participant learning
- Utilize various assessment tools to help clients gain self-awareness and make informed career decisions
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and outcomes

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in counseling, human resources, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience as a Career Coach or similar role
- Strong knowledge of training development, interviewing techniques, recruiting strategies, and career assessment tools
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build rapport with clients and establish trust
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously
- Proficient in using technology for virtual coaching sessions

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $32.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Cobourg, ON K9A 3A5
