Steinbach, Canada Hanover School Division Full time

**This position is based in Steinbach, but travel to schools throughout the Division is required.**

The person is responsible for a wide variety of duties in support of the Hanover School Division Maintenance Dept. This includes general duties to the upkeep of the HSD facilities. This job description includes the major areas of responsibility; duties may be added or deleted by the Director of Facilities as required. Hours of work are established by the Director of Facilities.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Repair and maintain all HSD facilities including doors, walls, windows, furniture and other items using a work order system
- Maintain building interiors and exteriors
- Construct and repair millwork as requested
- Repair sidewalks as needed
- Minor roofing tasks
- Health and Safety repairs
- Can include evening and weekend work
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- 5 years direct work experience in this field
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and use of own vehicle
- Direct work experience in a custodial or warehouse environment preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality is mandatory
- Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic and positive team attitude
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently in a time sensitive environment
- Flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
