Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations (SDO) the Program Manager is responsible for the general oversight, operations, and leadership of multiple teams providing addiction and mental health services to a diverse patient population. Demonstrating sound leadership acumen, the Program Manager uses critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, is accountable for teams providing excellent patient care, and provides direction and support to Unit/Clinic managers and front-line staff as appropriate. The Program Manager works closely with Medical leadership and other operational leaders within the Grey Nuns site and the wider Addiction & Mental Health program in the Edmonton Zone. The Program Director has significant budget accountability and is required to create and sustain a Quality Committee structure within their portfolio. The successful applicant will participate on a variety of working groups and/or committees to provide content expertise and leadership. The Program Manager is expected to be an ambassador for patients with mental illness and an understanding of how to work with patients and families in a compassionate manner is essential. The portfolio includes two 30-bed inpatient mental health units, a 10-bed psychiatric intensive care unit. There is also a busy neuromodulation clinic which provides IV Ketamine treatments, approx 3000 ECT treatments per year, and an injection clinic. Other accountabilities include the outpatient Psychiatric Outpatient Program (POP) which provides group therapy services, and oversight of a physician's outpatient service. Some on-call site leadership is required with this position.

**Required Qualifications**:
A Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or a health discipline is required; Master’s Degree preferred but not essential. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Minimum of 3 years of recent leadership experience preferably in a health care setting and ideally in a psychiatric environment. Current expertise in Psychiatric/Mental Health principles are preferred but demonstrated skills in leadership, program performance evaluation, education, and management of patient care are more essential. The ability to provide clear direction to individuals and teams and ensure engaged accountability is a requirement.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Certified in CPR necessary. Active annual registration with professional college required (where applicable). Position requires occasional local travel. Must have valid Alberta driver’s license.
