Security Systems Technician

Job description
We work mainly in commercial and multi-residential properties. Work includes installation, programming, and maintenance/servicing of the following types of systems:
- In-suite pre-wiring
- Security Cameras
- Alarm Systems
- Access Control Systems
- Systems Networking
- Intercoms/Enterphones
- External EMT piping/wire pulling
- Data/Communication
**Requirements**:
- Attention to detail
- Troubleshooting skills
- Independent
- Honest
- Ability to take direction and function in a team environment and/or work alone.
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Trades Qualified (TQ) - OR - Security Alarm Installer License would be an asset
- Motivated to continue education in learning new products
- Basic low voltage electrical tools and safety gear (i.e.: Steel toe boots)
- Flexibility to work after-hours and out of town on occasion, as required;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Strong command of English, verbal and written;
- Excellent documentation skills;
- Valid BC security license;
- Experience in a variety of security systems (access control, intrusion, CCTV)
- Good decision-making ability and multi-tasking skills;
- Excellent computer skills and networking knowledge;
- Network training would be an asset.
**Summary**
As a Security Systems Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems, including CCTV and intrusion detection systems. Your core skills in low voltage systems, computer networking, and mechanical knowledge will be essential for ensuring optimal system performance. Your premium skills in blueprint reading and electrical experience will enhance your effectiveness in this role. With strong time management and computer skills, you will contribute to the safety and security of our organization while working independently and efficiently.

Pay: $45,760.00-$65,000.00 per year
