Alteo is looking for a Network Administrator for a permanent position based in Montreal.

** Hybrid work after training period **

**Responsibilities**:

- Participate in network design, implementation and maintenance
- Provide general network and IT support on the organization's operating systems
- Maintain stable and consistent connectivity on all network computers
- Prepare, implement and monitor disaster recovery and procedures
- Identify, track, document and analyze incident/problem resolution activities
- Maintain network servers and associated hardware, software, services and parameters
- Recommend, test and implement system and security upgrades
- Constantly monitor and troubleshoot network stability and performance
- Create, adjust and maintain network user settings and authorizations
- Provide computer training to employees
- Participate in training courses to keep abreast of current and emerging technologies

**Profile**:

- DEC/BAC in computer science or equivalent
- 3-5 years' experience as a network administrator
- Professional certification, such as CISSP, CCNA or CCNP (an important asset)
- In-depth knowledge of network concepts and IT infrastructures
- Proven skills in network engineering, operations and performance analysis
- Experience of key server management and monitoring tools
- Experience of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and later versions
- Experience with Cisco switches and routers
- Knowledge and/or experience of network segmentation, network security practices and implementation
- Practical experience in using the following technologies will be considered a strong asset: Windows environment; Active Director / Azure AD and Windows authorization management; Microsoft Cloud; Office 365, Teams; Sharepoint; Windows Server; SQL Server; Terminal Server; Hyper-V virtualization; VMware; Windows and other event logs; Network hardware (hubs, switches, routers, etc.) and network management tools; Sage 300c (Accpac)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to manage change, excellent time and priority management
- Emphasis on customer service and teamwork
- Initiative, resourcefulness, thoroughness and discretion
- Strong communication skills for user training and support
- Experience in a multi-site company
- Oral and written bilingualism (French and English)

Responsabilités:

- Participer à la conception, à la mise en œuvre et à la maintenance du réseau
- Fournir un support réseau et informatique général sur les systèmes d'exploitation de l'organisation
- Maintenir une connectivité stable et cohérente sur tous les ordinateurs du réseau
- Préparer, mettre en œuvre et surveiller les procédures et la récupération en cas de catastrophe
- Identifier, suivre, documenter et analyser les activités de résolution d'incidents ou de problèmes
- Assurer la maintenance des serveurs de réseau et du matériel, des logiciels, des services et des paramètres associés
- Recommander, tester et mettre en œuvre des mises à niveau du système et de la sécurité
- Constamment surveiller et dépanner la stabilité et les performances du réseau
- Créer, ajuster et maintenir les paramètres et les autorisations des utilisateurs du réseau
- Fournir de la formation informatique aux employés
- Participer à des formations pour se tenir au courant des technologies actuelles et émergentes

Profil:

- DEC/BAC en informatique ou l’équivalent
- 3-5+ années d’expérience dans un poste d'Administrateur réseau
- Certification professionnelle, telle que CISSP, CCNA ou CCNP (atout important)
- Connaissance approfondie des concepts de réseaux et des infrastructures informatiques
- Compétences avérées en matière d'ingénierie de réseau, d'exploitation et d'analyse des performances
- Expérience des principaux outils de gestion et de surveillance des serveurs
- Expérience de Microsoft Windows Server 2008 et des versions ultérieures
- Expérience des commutateurs et routeurs Cisco
- Connaissance et/ou expérience de la segmentation des réseaux, des pratiques de sécurité des réseaux et de leur mise en œuvre
