**Shipper / Receiver (Logistics Handler)**

Our Logistics Handler is responsible for shipping, receiving, and material handling. Each function requires maintaining appropriate documentation and electronic management of the movement of materials, hardware, parts, and supplies. Logistics handling is a key component in allocating, controlling and maintaining constant flow of materials and parts throughout the plant for work orders and daily processes.

**Success Requires**:

- One to two years progressive experience.
- A grade twelve diploma or equivalent is a requirement.
- Related education, courses or certifications is an asset.
- Computer literacy and excellent math skills is an asset
- Ability to use measurement tools; read and work with production work orders, blueprints, and drawings
- Good working knowledge of material types and data sheets is required
- Forklift & Crane Training and Experience is a significant asset
- A valid class 5 drivers licence
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills; ability to prioritize and anticipate potential urgencies or setbacks
- Must have strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative, the ability to work well with others and mínimal supervision.

**Your Objective**:

- Receives and performs initial physical inspection of all incoming materials, hardware, parts, supplies, goods etc....
- Completes applicable documentation, recording accuracies and discrepancies as required
- Handles required data entry, documentation and distribution of information for receiving
- Organizes storage, stock and staging locations of all materials, hardware, parts, supplies, goods etc....
- Daily tracking of staging schedule; based on scheduling requirements, pulls material or product from inventory, transports and stages for departments and individual work centers throughout plant.
- Verify inventory counts; investigate, and reconcile inventory discrepancies
