Temiskaming Hospital currently has an employment opportunity for a Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team.

**Qualifications**
- Graduate with a Masters in Speech and Language Pathology;
- Current registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario;
- Current CPR certification;
- Oral proficiency in French at a Superior or advance level is recommended;
- Previous Hospital experience is an asset;
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, Professional Staff and other health care professionals;
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills;
- Open to change and is proactive to departmental initiatives;
- Dependable and reliable with a good attendance record;
- Evidence of organizational and prioritization skills;
- Ability to work independently.

**Summary of Duties**
- Assess and investigate all referrals received
- Establish, plan and implement patient programs
- Interact with other health care professionals, family and others involved in patient’s care
- Monitor patient programs to ensure a safe working environment is maintained and that program changes are initiated as required
- Complete all relevant documentation according to departmental standards
- Assures confidentiality of patient information in all interactions and documentation
