**Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Manage day-to-day operations of the warehouse and ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency
- Ensure well-coordinated in
- and outbound shipments of products
- Inspect received products and report damages and losses
- Manage and oversee product cleaning and maintenance
- Plan and communicate labour forecasts and assign work schedules to warehouse workers
- Implement GPS inventory tracking system and manage product inventory
- Assist in creating and implementing warehouse SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure)
- Ensure the warehouse complies with health and safety regulations
- Continuous focus on improving operations efficiencies
- Assist in the hiring process of warehouse staff and train new hires
- Additional responsibilities are to be expected as the role and needs evolve
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education
- Warehouse management/leadership experience and knowledge of warehouse management procedures
- Proficient knowledge of inventory controls
- Knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety Rules and Regulations including warehouse equipment safety procedures
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Valid Class G driver’s license, and clean drivers abstract
- Forklift license and propane handling
- Comfortable driving 16ft cube van
- First Aid training
- CAD (computer-aided design) knowledge is a plus
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Pickering, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- warehouse: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (required)
- Driving Licence (required)
- Class G Licence (required)
- First Aid Certification (required)
- CAD Certification (preferred)
