Tire and Lube Technician

**JOB SUMMARY**

Full Time Quick Lube Technician at family run Chrysler dealership in Tilbury Ontario

**Qualifications**:

- High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
- Lube Technician experience an asset.
- Professional demeanor.
- Efficient problem solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Experience with customer service is an asset.
- Is able to work independently, managing his or her time and work flow.
- Technical Automotive experience not required as training will be provided. However, a general understanding of vehicles is beneficial.
- Must be accustomed to a fast-paced environment
- Enjoys working in a team environment
- A dedicated, hard-working individual that can take direction well
- Self-motivated

**Responsibilities and Objectives**:

- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the appropriate manner.
- Conduct initial vehicle inspection upon arrival in the service bay.
- Inspect vehicle for noticeable fluid leaks (Oil, Transmission fluid, coolant, power steering fluid, driveline fluid leaks)...
- Report on any observed defects, worn parts and fluid leaks.
- Use torque wrenches to verify proper torque specs on any bolts, drain plugs, wheel lug nuts.
- Perform Tire Rotations, mount and balance and repair of tires.
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area before, during and after vehicle servicing.
- Maintaining a neat and professional appearance at all times.
- Working with your Team effectively, doing procedures correctly to get the job done right
- Once Trained, able to work independently without supervision
- Develop a full understanding of company objectives, policies and procedure.
- Other duties as assigned.
