Must have an Early Childhood Educator II Classification from the Province of Manitoba. (If you have taken a 2 year Early Learning Diploma in Quebec you will not be classified as an Early Childhood Educator II in Manitoba.)

Must have Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector within last 3 months

Must have Clear Child Abuse Registry Check within last 3 months

Must have valid First Aid and CPR

Clear understanding of English language is essential (Oral and Written)

- Strong Behaviour Management skills and confidence in carrying out discipline
- Knowledge of children and their interests, developmental levels
- Excellent child care skills, with the ability to relate to children
- Ability to encourage independence and appropriate peer relationships
- Able to work as a team member with competence in working independently as well
- Strong communication skills with parents, staff, and children (customer service)
- Deal with conflict and parent concerns in a professional and positive manner
- Good-natured and enjoys working with people
- Awareness of day care regulations (health and hygiene)
- Professionalism, must have integrity and respect confidentiality

- Plan and implement activities that are developmentally appropriate for all aged children
- Play and interact with children by getting down to their level
- Communicate with parents on a daily basis
- Role model developmentally appropriate childcare skills
- Outdoor play all year round

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: From $19.53 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
