Edmonton, Canada Kinnections Community Wellness Full time

Kinnections is hiring Contractors to provide hourly care for families in West Edmonton needing a break from the hard work of caring for family members who need extra support.

A caregiver who would support a child and/or youth:

- Ages 16 years old
- Diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, Sensory Processing Disorder
- Male & Female
- Non-verbal

**ROLE INCLUDES**:

- Supporting and supervising individuals in the absence of their guardian/primary caregiver and to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Demonstrating respect towards a child or youth.
- Planning, engaging in and carrying out activities with the child/youth. These activities could range from doing activities at the parent’s house, going to the park to play, or taking the child to activities in the community.
- Administering medications to child as required.
- Completing contact notes after each shift.
- Demonstrating a commitment to personal development through ongoing learning and training within our industry.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with the child and family.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum education requirement of a High School Diploma and a minimum of 2-3 years of related experience; or graduation from an appropriate post-secondary program with a Certificate or Diploma.
- Hands-on experience working with individuals with complex behaviors.
- Have Canadian citizen/permanent resident status and are entitled to work in Canada.
- Have a clean Criminal Record Check and Intervention Record Check
- First Aid Certification CPR Level C and AED is required.
- Clean class 5 driver’s license and vehicle considered an asset.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Medication Administration and trauma informed care training are an asset.

**Job Types**: Casual, Part-time

**Salary**: $17.60-$19.60 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 20 per week
