Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager or designate, the Corn Room responsible for direct examination of grains to ensure that quality standards are met. Requiring a high level of attention to detail, the Corn Room Coordinator is responsible for strictly adhering to the organization's quality assurance policies and identifying defects in order to filter the grains from the production chain. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

**Responsibilities**

Coordinate shipping and receiving of product and coordination of tasks including:

- Communicate with truck drivers to coordinate grains receiving and direct truck traffic.
- Scale in incoming corn and co-product trucks.
- Verify scheduled loads with electronic schedule.
- Remove distiller’s grain and grain debris from Grains area using brooms, shovels, and auto sweeper.
- Professional and courteous conduct and communication during all interactions.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team in order to complete tasks.
- Must fully participate in the training required to perform the position.
- Attend the required shift rotation.
- Inspect production material as assigned for defects as trained.
- Perform other duties as delegated and assigned.

**Health & Safety Aspects**

Use of the following clothing and personal protective equipment is required:

- 100% Cotton or FR rated Clothing
- Long Sleeve Shirt
- IGPC approved safety work boot (CSA approved; steel toed, minimum 6” high etc.)
- Hard hat (except in clearly defined office areas)
- Safety Glasses
- Hearing protection (where required)
- High visibility clothing (uniform/vest/coat)
- Respiratory protection (where required)
- Other PPE as required

**Mental and Physical Effort**
- The position requires multi-tasking while maintaining focus of all steps in the process. The Corn Room Coordinator must display strong attention to detail, and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- The Corn Room Coordinator must be able to work independently and demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times.
- At times can be moderately physically demanding. Physical Requirements include walking, standing, climbing stairs and ladders, sweeping, and shoveling grains.
- Auditory distractions may include conversations between colleagues, phones ringing, alarms sounding, motors running, and other loud noises. Visual distractions may include movement of people, vehicles, or objects.

**Working Conditions**
- Outdoor activities are performed in areas with heavy equipment and rotating machinery.
- Outdoor activity in all weather conditions.
- From time to time will be exposed to long work hours and potential non-standard shifts.
- Will work both in an office and warehouse/storage setting and throughout the facility as required.
