**Responsibilities**:
The Nursing aide is responsible to perform the following tasks:

- Performs light housekeeping duties (e.g. tidy room, clean closets, hang clothing).
- Provides personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing grooming).
- Assists with preparation of south Indian cuisine meals and refreshments.
- Engages residents/families in leisure/recreational activities in the house.
- Facilitates resident/family participation in recreation programs outside the house.
- Provides opportunities for residents/families to interact in their respective environments.
- Practices safe client handling
- Safely transfer/ mobilizes residents which may include utilizing assistive devices.

Performs other related tasks as required.

**The following qualifications are required for the job**:

- A graduate of an approved Nursing Aide program.
- Fluency in Tamil and English Language.
- Previous related experience of at least 2 years with older clients preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, Tamil language (essential), organizational, and clinical skills
- Able to work flexible hours and shifts including weekends and holidays when necessary.
- Able to maintain regular and consistent attendance.
