Speech-language Pathologist

We are actively seeking compassionate individuals driven to make a positive impact on the lives of others. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the futures of individuals by providing targeted support based on their specific needs.

The Speech Therapist will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (or other developmental disabilities) and their families, at our Brampton centre and at client sites throughout Peel delivering evidence-based intervention.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in clients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' specific needs
- Provide therapy services to clients with various conditions, such as autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, or speech and language impairments
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with our ABA team and other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care
- Educate clients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans

**Skills**:

- Experience working in a client home and/or in clinic
- Experience working with children and youth with ASD
- Strong case management skills to effectively coordinate client care
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology
- Actively engaging clients, families, and caregivers to address client-centered goal

**Requirements**:

- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Excellent communication and analytic skills, with strong organizational abilities
- Registration with CASLPO
- Minimum of 2 years in the field is preferred
- Vulnerable sector check
