**Job Overview**:
As an Emergency Veterinarian at Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic, you will be responsible for providing immediate and critical medical care to animals in emergency situations. You will work collaboratively with our experienced team of emergency veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. **Responsibilities**:

- Assess, diagnose, and treat animals in critical condition or experiencing emergencies.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and utilize advanced diagnostic tools to determine the appropriate treatment plan.
- Perform emergency surgeries and procedures when necessary.
- Stabilize and manage patients in critical condition.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and potential outcomes.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Participate in continuing education and stay updated on the latest advancements in emergency veterinary medicine.

**Requirements**:

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Ontario or eligibility to obtain one.
- Emergency veterinary experience or completion of an emergency medicine and critical care internship is preferred.
- Exceptional diagnostic and surgical skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client education.

**Salary**: $180,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
