We are currently recruiting for a full-time Sanitation Technician at our greenhouse facility located in Ancaster, Ontario. Applicants must be mandatory minimum age to work with cannabis in Canada (19 years old +)

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for ensuring safe work conditions and practices in accordance with company policies, and adhering to SOP's for Good Production Practices (GPP). They disassemble and reassemble equipment, follow Lockout/Tagout procedures, and safely transport and store cleaning chemicals and tools.

The shift for this position is Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-1:00 AM. Successful applicants are entitled to an extra $1.50/hour Afternoon premium.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe work conditions and practices as outlined in the company Safety, Health & Environment policies.- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Good Production Practices (GPP).- Disassemble and reassemble all equipment as necessary in order to perform required cleaning & sanitation which would include following all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with TGOD standard operating procedures.- Safely transport and store of all cleaning chemicals and tools, while working in a conscientious manner and independently with minimum supervision.- Responsible for the accurate tracking and record keeping required for the sanitation department, while following all SOP’s and master sanitation schedule.- Using appropriate cleaning methods, clean in accordance to the GMP’s & GPP’s.- Assist in the development and regular maintenance and validation of applicable SOP’s.- Understanding of WHIMS and adhering to all Health & Safety Regulations and protocols.- Communicate all areas of concern and issues to Processing Supervisor.- Required to support other duties as necessary to support production

WHAT YOU BRING:
- 1-2 years’ experience in working within a Greenhouse environment and/or Sanitation manufacturing environment an asset- Experience working within Health Canada regulations and protocols also considered an asset- Experience adhering to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)- Good understanding of applicable Health & Safety practices and legislation- Must have access to personal means of transportation - this location is not accessible by public transportation

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This is a greenhouse and manufacturing working environment, which may have continuous exposure to heat, light and humidity, extreme variation of temperature throughout different areas and departments of the facility.
