**Your day to day activities will include**:
- Manage the milling and wheat receiving operations, including providing support and guidance to mill staff
- Coordinate Health and Safety programs, policies, and procedures;
- Ensure the ongoing training of all personnel and administration, in accordance with company policies;
- Maintain a safe working environment and a high standard of housekeeping and sanitation in accordance with BRCGS (Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standard) and Food Safety procedures;
- Identifying opportunities for improvements that would result in greater milling efficiency, better yield, lower costs, while providing superior products;
- Foster cooperation among employees, encouraging a positive attitude towards their work, and promote effective communication with and between all employees;
- Maintain documents and records in accordance with company policies and procedures;
- Work with the Maintenance Supervisors to develop and maintain the mill preventive maintenance program;
- Provide coverage to Assistant Head Miller and Team as needed
- Minimum of 4 years’ milling experience;
- Demonstrated supervisory skills in a food manufacturing environment, preferably a flour mill;
- A diploma or equivalent training in flour milling technology;
- Post-Secondary education is an asset;
- Competent communication skills both oral and written;
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
