TERMINAL MANAGER

We are currently searching for a dynamic Terminal Manager for our Bickerdike Terminal. Reporting to the General Manager - Montreal Operations, the Terminal Manager plans, develops, and controls all operations of the terminal to ensure timely and cost-effective terminal objectives are met while providing optimum service to customers. The Terminal Manager is responsible for all aspects of the terminal Operations, Administration, Occupational Health and Safety.

Tasks and responsibilities
Manage and control the operations of the Montreal terminal; coordinate the operations with the St. John's terminal;
Control and effectively utilize staff through planning, organizing and scheduling to minimize loss of time, working within the framework of the operating budget;
Ensure the company's compliance with the Canadian Labour Code and Transport Canada regulations;
Take appointments with the fuel supplier, pilotage and linesmen;
Represent the company to external agencies on various issues that impact the Company or require the Company's input. This includes the business community, the MEA, the Port of Montreal and Transport Canada;
Prepare annual budget. Provide rate quotations on specialized items. Supervise the approval, recording and settlement of all invoices related to the stevedoring of the vessel and port charges;
Manage a significant budget.

Perform other duties, as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations Management;
Experience with working in an unionized environment and operating a terminal;
Bilingualism (English and French).
