Advanced Rigger

**Job Purpose**

Working closely with the Crane Operator, the Loader/Rigger will be responsible for the usage, safety and reliability of rigging equipment.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Displays a commitment to Academy’s safety program, values, and culture
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Familiar with safe work practices
- Attaching loads to rigging equipment to provide support or prepare them for moving
- Inspect and log daily rigging inspections
- Assisting with general site clean-up;
- Organize rigging equipment after use
- Receive instructions on priority jobs and complete accordingly
- Ensure finished loads meet all safety and legal requirements
- Follows and meets schedules
- Attend toolbox meetings
- Report personal injuries, no matter how minor, and obtain medical attention as required
- May perform other related duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma is required
- Basic and/or advanced rigging course preferred
- 1-3 years of related experience in a pipe fabrication facility preferred
- CSTS-2020 certification is required
- WHIMIS certification is required
- Valid class 5 drivers license
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- rigging (indoor and outdoor): 3 years (required)
- skidsteer, forklift, zoomboom, overhead crane: 2 years (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Onoway, AB (required)
