Elmsmere Villa Retirement Residence, located in the east end of Ottawa, is looking to hire a Casual Cook immediately.

Hours of Work: 10am-6pm

Days of Work: Varied, but would include some weekends, days, and statutory holidays.

Duties include:
Preparation of Soup and Entree for lunch, following menu plan

Preparation of Afternoon Snack

Preparation of Evening Dessert and Dinner choices (1 main entree and 2 alternative choices), following menu plan

Keeping kitchen clean and sanitized, in coordination with daily cleaning/disinfection guidelines

Plating of both lunch and dinner items

Washing cooks dishes

Interacting with serving staff

Kitchen closing duties

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff required to wear mask
Must have negative covid test prior to starting position

**Experience**:

- Culinary: 1 year (preferred)
- cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
