Temporary until approximately July 22, 2023.

**Rotation/Shifts**:
Days, 8 hour shifts.

**What you will do**:
The Manager of Environmental Services manages the day to day activities of Environmental Services, providing leadership to staff and ensuring TOH standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the Hospital. The Manager is responsible for strategic planning, forecasting and budgetary oversight of the department.

Within their own team, the Manager applies learning and accountability consistent with a just culture, provides staff with written instruction on safety precautions where appropriate, ensures that staff adhere to standards of safe work and patient care, and closes the loop on staff and patient safety issues to ensure continuous improvement.

**What you will bring**:

- 3 year College Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field;
- 3-5 years experience in a leadership capacity;
- Knowledge of hospital environment;
- Knowledge of current trends and legislation in the industry such as Occupational Health and Safety, WHMIS, PIDAC, and applicable Regulations and Standards;
- Knowledge of Hazardous Materials in the handling of spills and contamination, with training on related equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus.;
- Technical knowledge of Environmental Services procedures, technology, and equipment;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent planning, organizational and presentation skills;
- High degree of initiative and analytical skills;
- Evaluation skills relating to teaching and training acquired by education and experience;
- Accounting and budget principles and processes.
