Reporting to the CEO and a member of the Management Team, this role will be expected to:

- Provide legal advice and manage a wide range of legal work in support of our business leaders in both Canada and the US;
- Draft, negotiate, review, and interpret complex commercial agreements and RFPs;
- Oversee corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture structuring and other transactions;
- Provide accurate, efficient, and timely support to business stakeholders and colleagues in all functional areas of the business;
- Advise on legal compliance and risk management; and
- Engage and oversee external counsel as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Current member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario or Alberta
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a corporate/commercial practice, in a law firm and/or in-house environment
- Knowledge of the energy and technology sectors an asset but not required
