Reporting to the Electrical Services Specialist Supervisor, the Electrical Construction Services Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all electrical system components as assigned.

**Duties**:

- Consult with equipment manufacturers for new specifications, repairs, and costs.
- Receive, review, and complete work orders and service requests in CMMS identifying any special requirements.
- Perform job site inspections for planned work orders and service requests as needed, and review with the requestor and operators of equipment.
- Liaise with power smart coordinator for technical compliance and opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate and execute data installations, testing, and maintenance when required.
- Modify equipment as needed.
- Identify electrical vulnerabilities and resolve deficiencies.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks and prepare work orders as needed to ensure reduction in wear and breakdown of materials and equipment.
- Identify, resolve, and follow up on any safety related electrical problems.
- Troubleshoot assigned electrical faults and failures and correct root cause.
- Assist the Electrical Services Specialist Supervisor to develop and communicate plans of action for preventative maintenance and other power related shutdowns as required.
- Execute power shutdowns under coordination of the Electrical Services Supervisor as assigned.
- Identify and purchase materials required for each job.
- Coordinate all tasks assigned and ensure completion and quality of work on assigned jobs.
- Work with staff from other departments to ensure that all objectives of the job are met.
- Direct, coach, and mentor apprentices.
- Gather and organize all pertinent information and communicate all related information to those involved.
- Liaise with contractors/vendors for work coordination and information.

**Primary Qualifications**:

- Certificate of Qualification - Electrician (Red Seal)
- Province of Manitoba Electrician H License must be maintained.
- A valid Manitoba Class 5 Drivers Licence must be maintained.
- A minimum of four years’ experience with project coordination, project cost estimation, and organizational skills.
- CAT certified for voice and data.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

**Secondary Qualifications**:

- Experience working in a gaming atmosphere and working with large crews is considered an asset.
- City of Winnipeg Electrical Contractors Licence
- AutoCAD / REVIT drafting experience
- CPR / First Aid
- Scissor/Boom lift certifications

**Environmental Working Conditions**:

- The incumbent works at all MBLL properties
- Travel is required between MBLL locations dependant on operational needs
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors during all seasons
- Completion of job duties requires the use of a variety of tools, equipment and chemicals. Adherence to safe work practices in the work environment is essential.
- Due to the nature of the job, the incumbent requires the use of personal protective equipment which includes: protective footwear, eye protection, gloves, fall protection (harness), respiratory protection, coveralls and kneepads.
- Working at elevated heights and or confined spaces.
