Our Preschool has a strong philosophy of learning through play, project-based learning, and connecting to nature. We offer a registered preschool program at Bayview Elementary School and an unlicensed outdoor nature program at Jericho Beach park.

- A passion for working with children and opening up their natural tendency to connect and play both inside and outdoors.
- An ability to inspire, motivate, strengthen and work collaboratively with other educators and within a leadership team;
- The ability to understand the needs of key stakeholders ranging from the Board of Directors, Parents, Administration/HR/Payroll, and licensing agencies;
- An ability to provide a rich, exciting and nurturing educational program that caters to children’s interests, learning, and development;
- Possesses a child - led approach to learning;
- Is able to assist the program director with all aspects of day to day running of the preschool;
- Is able to establish and maintain a good rapport with the preschool’s licensing officer.
- A working knowledge and understanding of the BC Child Care Licensing Regulations rules and requirements;
- Ability to implement concepts and principles from the BC Early Learning Framework in an informed manner;
- Understands how to guide children’s behaviour in accordance with Vancouver Coastal Health’s guidance documentation;
- Reliable and dependable, demonstrating exemplary time-management, self-management, written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and is compassionate;
- An ability to form trusting, respectful relationships with children, families, and teachers

**Salary**: $31.50-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
