**JOB OVERVIEW**

Trident Engineering is looking for dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of **Instrumentation/Calibration Technician**.

As a TERM/Permanent employee for Trident Engineering, You will receive an attractive wage and benefit package and stress less work environment.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

As a **Instrumentation / Calibration Technician, **you will install, maintain, configure, calibrates, designs and troubleshoots process control and environmental monitoring Instruments/ equipment. Specifically, an Instrumentation and Control Technician:

- Adhere to all company Environmental, Heath, and Safety policies and procedures set out by the HSE department.
- Calibrates and repairs analytical instrumentation that monitors or controls flow, level, temperature, pressure, acidity, conductivity and humidity
- Installs, maintains and configures control and process systems
- Calibrates, commissions, configures, installs and troubleshoots all pneumatic, electronic, electrical, mechanical and analytical instrumentation devices
- Knowledge of cGMP, GMP and GDP is beneficial.
- Use of more advanced calibration equipment such as Hart Communicators, and programs.
- Use of basic Instrumentation Test Equipment & should be able to complete calibrations
- Assist Journeyman and other apprentices with the maintenance, replacement and installation of equipment.
- Assist with calibrations and installations requiring instrumentation tubing
- Use of hand tools, power tools, testing equipment and specialty tools, such as tubing benders.
- Able to work on or with more advanced meter(s) checking for continuity, resistance, voltages & current readings
- Knowledge of Gas Detection, LEL Detection will be beneficial.
- Capable of setting set points on safety shutdown device(s) & should be able to complete calibrations unattended in most situations.
- Possibility of working on or around any ‘live’ process or equipment including isolation and de-pressuring of any system following SOPs and safety procedures.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum of two-to-three-year community college diploma in Instrumentation & Control;
- Holding valid Certificate of Qualification (447A) Instrumentation & Control is beneficial.
- Experience of working in Pharmaceuticals will be beneficial.
- Have exceptional problem-solving abilities;
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Have a high comfort level with computers;
- Be eligible to work in Canada

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18-24 months

**Salary**: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
