**About the role**:
The supervisor is a focused and motivated individual with responsibility for GMP compliance of routine production for both investigational and commercial products at facilities run by CPDC. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day operations of multiple production lines in the NRB site including assigning tasks and adjusting workloads to meet production goals, scheduling and monitoring training, assessing progress of the employees and overseeing production quality. In relationship with the Manager, the production supervisor will be responsible for operation of production lines. The role will provide leadership to direct reports focusing on the aseptic operations and GMP clean rooms.
This position is based in **Hamilton.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure, in collaboration with the production staff, consistent production of radiopharmaceuticals according to operational expectations
- Supervise production and delivery staff in their day-to-day activities which includes weekly scheduling, staff meetings, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising and coaching performance as well as any relevant training
- Act as point of contact for other departments and team members for matters related to the GMP Production Facility
- Assist with the production of CPDC drug products as needed (example to cover vacation or illness)
- Work with HR to develop an approach to address any problems with employees
- Ensure that material inventories are maintained such that production needs can be met with mínimal notice
- Work across teams to ensure that equipment is maintained and calibrated
- Work alongside the Manager, Radiopharmaceutical Process Development and Manufacturing to develop action plans for any decision-making on batch release and to troubleshoot and problem solve critical issues related to the facility
- Inform the Manager, Radiopharmaceutical Process Development and Manufacturing and the Quality unit of any production problems as well as any concerns with drug product quality immediately
- Maintain documentation to fulfill all customer, facility, Provincial, Federal and applicable International regulatory requirements relating to nuclear safety and cGMP manufacturing
- Adhere to the Health Canada GMP requirements for sterile pharmaceuticals
- Manage training plans for assigned staff and ensure sufficient cross-training is in place to allow for completion of daily tasks
- Identify and assist in conducting cross functional training between processes to maintain and improve the growth of employee knowledge and the flexibility of production to maintain the schedule
- Notify Health Physics and Manager of unsafe radiological work and ensure that unsafe acts and conditions are reported to Management immediately

**Required Education/Experience**:

- BSc. or diploma in chemistry, biology or related science
- 1-3 years Demonstrated leadership and behavioural competencies
- 5 - 10 years, direct experience in pharma/biotech manufacturing organizations.
- Flexibility in work schedule to support a 24/7 production environment
- Ability to lift 23 kilograms required
- Use leadership skills to solve and address problems with employees
