29th Street Market is a medium-sized family-owned grocery store in Battleford, SK

We are looking to add friendly and hard-working **Baker/Grocery Clerk** to add to our team

Although our bakery is small, it is an integral part of our store We bake fresh bread and buns everyday. As a baker, you will be responsible for proofing, baking, packaging items as well as prepare quantities for the next day's bake. If you enjoy working independently in a medium-to-fast pace environment, this may be a great role for you

Baker Responsibilities:

- Proof and Bake bread & buns according to established standards.
- Slice and pack bread & buns.
- Ensure the timely production and availability of fresh baked goods for customers by efficiently managing baking schedules.
- Adhere to proper food handling and safety guidelines, including sanitation procedures, to maintain a clean and hygienic bakery environment.

Baker Qualifications:

- Some prior bakery or food service experience (preferred).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Some weekend availability required.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to conduct repetitive movements such as bending, using wrists, etc.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 30 lbs.

Shifts will be day-time (around 10am-3pm - shift times may be change by a few hours). There will be 2-5 shifts available per week & 5-8 hours per shift (to be discussed).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
Commonly-touched surfaces are sanitized regularly, plexiglass partition at till area, space to maintain social distancing

**Experience**:

- Baking: 1 year (preferred)
