**BRAND NEW CHILDCARE CENTRE**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist staff with break coverage, lunch time coverage and support during children's lunch time/sleeptime if needed.
- Set up all classrooms lunches on their respective carts, load and unload dishwasher and make sure the kitchenette is clean during the day
- Assist in implementing child-care programing that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- Maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
- Guide and assist children in the development of eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
- Work in partnership to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials
- Adhere to all centre policies and procedures
- Follow all guidelines according to Ministry of Education CCEYA and “how does learning happen” pedagogy
- Base pay based on experience plus $2.00 WEG (base + $2.00)

**Qualifications**
- A current Vulnerable Sector Check from the Regional police
- Current CPR/ First Aid Certification
- A passion for working with children
- Multitasking and organizational skills are a must.
- Strong interpersonal skills to gain trust and respect of children and their parents
- The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Fluent oral and written English language communication skills;
- Skilled at working both independently and within a team context.

**Additional information**:
This is a Float position, same schedule everyday. Schedule: Monday to Friday. 9:00 am to 3 :30pm with 30 minute unpaid lunch break. (6 hours paid per day)

Indoor and outdoor environment.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
