**About the role**:
The convenience store Sales Associate provides excellent service to customers within our retail environment. Primary responsibilities of the Retail Associate include helping customers with any questions or concerns they have while in the store, replenishing stock on the floor, and processing payments at the cash register.

**Key activities**:

- Serving customers by developing rapport, building customer confidence, providing accurate information, and helping with product selection.
- Demonstrating knowledge of products and inventory to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace or retail floor.
- Performing all required cash register transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Adheres to all company workplace policies and procedures as outlined in the handbook.
- Work in a collaborative effort with all co-workers to ensure the station is offering a superior level of customer service.
- Sell tobacco products in a legal and responsible manner, abiding by all provincial laws and city by-laws.
- Must be punctual for all scheduled shifts.

- Basic computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Basic math skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry products to perform and cover all work floor duties.

**Skills/attributes desired**:

- 0-2 years retail experience.
- Flexible schedule.
