**Role Description**:
The Business Analyst ll, Data & Reporting leads the assessment of client needs in an effort to align business initiatives with information technology solutions. The Business Analyst, Data & Reporting will provide expertise in the areas of requirements definition, business process analysis and design, functional design, configuration, implementation, reporting, testing, training, and documentation to deliver enterprise solutions to the university community, with a focus on data analysis and delivery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide recommendations on the design and planning of our client’s network.
- Install and configure network hardware and related software.
- Document, implement, and maintain network standards, making any upgrades or changes.
- Support network security by configuring network devices according to security.
- Assignments include but are not limited to working on enterprise systems such as the Student Information System (SIS), HR, Finance, e-Payment, etc.
- Ensures solutions are consistent with the overall technical and business architecture of the university and comply with the IT and university policies, as well as government legislation and other external entities' compliance requirements on security, privacy, and accessibility.
- Analyze and document data domains and associated reporting requirements to inform the scope and architecture of the transactional or data platform.
- Provide insights to data modelers to ensure requirements are covered by the underlying data model.
- Participates in the design of ETL source-to-target mapping specifications.
- Gather report requirements, and design and implement regular reports in transactional or analytical platforms.
- Profile and convert data using a variety of resources, including spreadsheets, reports, and SQL for large volumes.
- Lead stakeholder requirements gathering and review sessions and obtain signoffs as required.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of BA or Data Analyst experience in Reporting, and/or Data Warehouse and/or Data Migration projects that can implement:

- Data profiling (SQL / PL-SQL), Data mapping for data migration and data flows, and/or;
- Report requirements gathering, design, and delivery (Tableau, Workday).
- Experience in at least one of the following areas of IT is required: data warehouse development, software development, ERP implementation, infrastructure, and ITIL / ITSM.

**Nice-to-have**:

- Experience with prior data warehouse / BI initiatives is an asset.
- Experience with classical reporting tools (Crystal Reports, etc.) and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is an asset.
