We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to bring an elevated experience to our guests in a new concept we have launched at Hotel X Toronto last. The three-story rooftop concept features 360-degree views of the city, an outdoor all-season pool and a rooftop skybar. Each floor offers a different experience including a sophisticated cocktail bar and attractive live music but will stream together under one cohesive Japanese influenced concept.

The hotel is under new F&B management and is the group behind some of your favourite Toronto venues such as Kasa Moto, MIMI Chinese, Sunny's Chinese, Parc Ave, Rasa, Sara, Baro, Dasha, Petty Cash, and Myth.

**What You’ll Do**
- Supporting the daily restaurant and property F&B operations.
- Design operation strategy and set goals for growth.
- Work with stakeholders to develop and enforce established policies and procedures.
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
- Establish and enforce operation strategies to meet quality and customer service standards
- Maintain all F&B division facilities are clean and safe.
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
- Direct the employee assessment process.
- Prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
- Oversee marketing strategies and special events to attract more customers.
- Build and maintain a positive working culture and engaged team.
- Strict adherence to health and safety procedures and Talent procedures as per company and property policy.
- Organize and lead regular meetings to discuss about issues and updates, ensuring team alignment.
- Administer, oversee and coordinate corporate events.

**What You’ll Need**
- Minimum 2 years' experience in restaurant management.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible working schedule; ability to work long hours.
- Knowledge of POS systems and reservation software.
- Excellent customer service skills.
