Sewer & Watermain Foreman

Primrose Contracting is a Canadian heavy civil construction company based in Ontario that specializes in sewer and watermain construction for municipal and private clients. Projects completed by our team of experts include road construction, deep sewer construction in diverse ground conditions, and large diameter watermain construction.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of sewer and watermain systems.
- Lead a crew in performing construction tasks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics to guide project execution.
- Coordinate with project managers and communicate updates on project status and issues.
- Conduct site inspections to assess work quality, compliance, and adherence to plans.
- Managing projects from start to completion, ensuring that they remain on schedule, under budget and meet quality/contract standards.
- Train and mentor team members on proper construction techniques and safety procedures.
- Communicate with Operations Manager requirements for supplies, tools, and equipment needed for the site.
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and utility companies to facilitate project coordination.
- Implement and enforce workplace safety regulations and procedures.
- Ensure all daily reports including: daily journals, Health and Safety documentation and maintenance records are completed at all time.

**Skills, Qualifications & Experience**
- Proven experience in sewer and water main construction, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, able to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations.
- Ability to operate and maintain construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Valid G driver's license and clean driving abstract.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40.00-$55.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
