Under the direction of the CEO, the Operations and Facility Manager manages the day-to-day operations of staffing, custodial, grounds, and building maintenance activities. Participates in the administration of policies, procedures, and processes in support of the goals of the Board of Directors of Country Heritage Agricultural Society.

The Operation and Facilities Manager also schedules, assigns, reviews, and supervises the work of front-line staff of the Park representing a variety of work skills necessary for the park operations, maintenance and repair of the CHAS facilities, buildings, grounds, custodial and equipment. May serve as alternate to the CEO in their absence.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**

**Staff Management**

With a background of excellent problem-solving, conflict management, and critical thinking skills, the Operations and Facility manager will:

- Manage operations staff, volunteers, and front-line staff. This includes recruiting, training, on-boarding, and evaluating all operations and front-line staff to guide them to fully accomplish the goals and objectives of CHAS;
- Maintenance of Human Resources data and records. Hiring new employees or dismissal of employees as needed and documentation of all personnel records.
- Motivate employees through regular interpersonal interactions, fostering creativity, innovation, and empowerment. Promote a positive and professional work environment;
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing human resource standards and health and safety procedures; complying with legal regulations
- Ensure effective management, coordination and staging of all special events, attractions and delivery of educational programmes, communicating customer/client issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
- Liaise with and integrate student volunteers as well as established volunteers into on-going work schedules, alongside staff. Encourage work sharing between volunteers and park staff.
- Reporting staffing budget estimates and reviews to CEO for Board information
- Maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the operations team.

**Facilities Management**

Responsible for the security and maintenance of the grounds, buildings, and the infrastructure of Country Heritage Park, the Operations and Facility Manager will:

- Ensure the day-to-day operations of the facilities including custodial, general maintenance are implemented.
- Supervision of all maintenance relating to the interior and exterior condition and appearance of the property
- Respond positively and promptly to requests from building tenants and occupants to solve issues to the mutual satisfaction of both tenant and CHAS. Monitor and ensure that tenants comply with insurance requirements
- Prepare, review, and give initial approval as needed to all budgets, financial reports, contracts, expenditures, and purchase orders related to the facilities.
- Assist in the development of capital budgets for the property and long-term maintenance and cost reduction strategies

**Salary**: $71,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
