VRM Toronto is an ophthalmology practice, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with vitreoretinal disease. Our group is an academic private practice with an emphasis in clinical trials and research in innovative ophthalmic imaging/treatments. VRM Toronto is looking for Ophthalmic Assistants to join our team.

**Outline of Expectations**:

- Positive attitude with a genuine interest in providing high level care for those with visual impairment
- Enthusiasm for learning new technology in diagnostic imaging and Ophthalmology
- Ability to ensure that the clinic areas are maintained in accordance to guidelines
- Interest in continuing medical education and expanding ones’ role
- Maintaining safe and therapeutic work environment
- Attendance of conferences and seminars to improve skills, remain current, and learn new techniques and equipment.

**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize work
- Experience working in a medical clinic (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated excellent customer/patient service
- Excellent record of attendance and punctuality
- Fluent in English, additional language skills are an asset
- Attention to detail

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Ophthalmic Technicians & Assistants: 1 year (preferred)
- Healthcare: 1 year (preferred)
