**Key Responsibilities**
- Keeping building and property in clean and orderly condition
- Performing routine cleaning activities
- Performing heavy cleaning duties
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors
- Gathers and empties trash
- Scrubbing, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities
- Dusting furniture, walls, and equipment
- Cleaning windows, mirrors, and partitions
- Mixing cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours
- Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time
- Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions
- Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals
- Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules
- Communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work at heights
- Building Service Worker Level 1 / WHIMIS

Hours: Permanent Full-time position, generally 37.5 hours/week with 7.5 hour days.

Compensation: $18.25/hr plus a competitive benefit package.

A Criminal Record Review is required for all positions at the VCM.
