**About the Role**

Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Garde Manger is someone who enjoys working with a dynamic team in a fun and casual environment to be responsible for the daily preparation and service of salads and cold menu items in the Garde Manger section. Culinary background is an asset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare daily dressings, sandwiches, salads, fish, cheese, fruits and vegetables
- Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
- Ensure presentation of required cold menu items are up to Fern Resort standard
- Effectively communicate with other chefs and service staff to fulfil and satisfy any needs requested by guests
- Adequate knowledge of the meal service menus
- Maintain the quality and sanitation levels in the department
- Clean your work station after each meal
- Prepare all items required for buffets, working lunches and box lunches
- Assist in other areas of the kitchen if needed

**Specifications**:

- Culinary background an asset
- Food Handler's Certification an asset
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Must work well in a fast paced and team environment

Staff report to 4432 Fern Resort Rd, Ramara, ON - Must be able to reliably commute to address

Must be available to work shift work, holidays, weekdays and weekends. Shifts include 8:00am-1:30pm and 5:00- approx 8:00pm.
