**JOB OVERVIEW**

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:
Volunteer Recruitment Management:

- Lead the development and implementation of volunteer recruitment strategies nationwide to ensure organizational recruitment needs are met in collaboration with all members of the VE team;
- Work closely with the Volunteer Experience Business Partners (VEBPs) to develop integrated recruitment plans that focus on the engagement of volunteers in communities designated by CCS;
- Lead VE Recruitment Coordinators who support the work of the VEBPs and staff partners in other business areas;
- Help establish recruitment KPIs and engages in ongoing monitoring, reporting, and evaluation;
- Create a shared sense of the importance of volunteer engagement for achieving organizational objectives by recognizing and celebrating successes in recruitment.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders at all levels within CCS to align recruitment strategies and plans, support recruitment and retention goals, and champion relationship management practices;
- Develop strong, supportive relationships with CCS teams who work directly with volunteers in collaboration with the VEBPs;
- Drive strong relationship management principles within the Volunteer Engagement team and other CCS teams;
- Establish and cultivate strong relationships with external parties and stakeholders who support volunteer recruitment and involvement at CCS;
- Keeps current and up-to date on volunteer knowledge and contributes to strategies and plans for recruitment in all business areas.

Team Management and Contributions:

- Develop and manage a high performing team of recruitment coordinators who support the VE Business Partners (VEBPs) in successfully reaching and maintaining recruitment goals;
- Engage in fostering a working environment that highlights the strengths, talents, and integration of direct reports and VEBPs supporting volunteer recruitment;
- Work closely and collaboratively with the VE team for a consistent and integrated volunteer experience across CCS business areas and geographic locations;
- Ensure that hiring practices are inclusive;
- Encourage growth and development opportunities for all team members;
- Champion CCS as a hero in the face of cancer;
- Actively contribute to our culture of justice, belonging, equity, diversity, and inclusion by ensuring that all staff feel represented and heard regardless of their gender, age, religion, ethnicity, and nationality or race

**EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g., non-profit management, HR management, education) or equivalent in volunteer management experience
- Recognized certificate in volunteer management or working towards certification is an asset
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in these fields
- Previous experience working in English and French is considered an asset
- ** Fluency in French is considered a strong asset**:

- Has worked within a nationwide team, is a big picture thinker with capacity to manage large projects and intricate details
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and exercise sound relational judgement and diplomacy with a diverse group of volunteers, staff, stakeholders and donors, and the general public
- An effective team player, autonomous and efficient, capacity to set priorities and meet recruitment responsibilities
- Other skills and experience sought:_
- Experience managing teams and ability to work under pressure with competing priorities
- Ability to collaborate with direct reports, team members and colleagues in offices across the country
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and incorporate information and metrics into strategy and planning
- Experience working with social media and new technologies
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and solid understanding of volunteer engagement databases
