Duties:
- Quickly analyze the information received form the caller and dispatch the required vehicles.
- Coordinate, schedule, manage and communicate all pickup and delivery requirements to drivers via telephone and/or pre-planned trips.
- Configure routes daily for pickup and delivery for drivers, ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
- Optimize driver trips and routes to ensure truck and service capacity.
- Monitor and maintain constant communication with all drivers always.
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests for pickups.
- Help resolve work-related problems and monitor work related accidents and incidents.
- Track any habitual problems. Investigate situations for root causes and provide corrective solutions to problems to avoid re-occurrence.
- Ensure smooth daily dispatch operations including computer systems, loading equipment and machinery.
- Advise and inform drivers of route and traffic problems such as: construction, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, weight and size restrictions and other information.
- Provide other customer service or after hours support as required.
- Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of Cross border Dispatch.
- Excellent planning and organization skills.
- Excellent spatial and reasoning skills.
- Must have knowledge of Ontario Transportation and Safety Regulations.
- Must have ability to multi-task in a fast pace and dynamic atmosphere.
- Must have the skills and ability to use computer software, computer literate in: Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Maps.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Shift Timings: 6 PM - 1AM/ 7 PM - 2AM
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week

- Evening shift
- Night shift
