**Job Description -**:
Repairing and modification of composite boats of all sizes using glass fiber, and polyethylene-based products such as polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy resin systems
- Cut, shape and join timber pieces or assemble pre-cut timber pieces to make wooden boats
- Understand and perform gel coat color matching and restoration/repairs
- Assemble prefabricated parts and sections of fiberglass, metal, or other materials to form boats and perform fiberglass repairs from either wear and tear and time or accidents.
- Repaint boats using a compressed air spraying system and perform small or bigger paint touch-up repairs.
- Caulk decks and hulls
- Install trims, rudders, seats, engine mounts, and other accessories
- Inspect assembled boats for defects and conformance to quality standards
- Mark defects and make minor adjustments and repairs.
- Record information on products inspected
- Perform repairs that are vacuum-bagged and cured with heat control

**Education**: Not required.

**Experience**: 1 - 3 years of experience in the field is required.

Knowledge required: Knowledge of the essential materials and processes involved in the repair and modification of composite boats of all sizes utilizing glass fiber, and polyethylene-based products such as; Polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resin systems. Skilled in cutting, grinding, sanding, laminating, and post-cure methods on composite (fiberglass) boats. Be able to perform repairs that are vacuum bagged and cured with heat control. Understand and perform Gelcoat colour matchingand restoration.

Boating experience: Motorboats, Sailboats

Knowledge in cutting, grinding, sanding, laminating, and post-cure methods on composite (fiberglass) boats is an asset.

Woodworking, welding and overall marina knowledge are a strong asset.

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling.

Work site environment: Indoors, Outdoors, At heights, Noisy, Dusty

Weight Handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs)
