Experienced Carpenter

The Royston Group is looking to hire as soon as possible, a like-minded, dynamic and highly motivated Carpenter to join our growing team of experts. Must be proficient in finish carpentry and able to work independently or as apart of a team.

**Full Time, Permanent - Experienced Carpenter**

Experience: 5yrs or more preferred.

**MUST** possess a vehicle and class G Ontario Drivers Licence

**Daily tasks include but are not limited to the following on any given day depending on the job**:

- Framing, drywall repairs, and painting
- Insulation and vapor barrier installation
- Door and door hardware installation
- Tile Setting
- Light millwork, carpentry repairs
- Door and hardware installation
- Drywall taping, sanding and painting
- Installation of cabinetry
- Light plumbing
- Light electrical
- Fence and Deck construction

**Skills needed**:

- Effective Time Management
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and follow a scope of repairs
- Working knowledge of construction terms and language
- Highly safety-oriented, must comply with health and safety standards
- Working knowledge of blueprints and engineer drawings
- Experience dealing with Town officials
- Experience dealing with Engineers
- Daily tracking of hours, material and equipment used on each job
- Ability to lead and work with sub-contractors
- Able to stay calm and use common sense solutions to problems that may arise
- Respectful of other team members and staff
- Desire to grow and learn as needed
- Must be confident using smartphone, apps, computers etc.
- High attention to detail
- Estimating experience is an asset
- Positive attitude, team player, punctual, able to follow directions
- Work independently or as part of a team
- Safety conscious and willing to adhere to all safety policies and practices
- Ensure all safety measures and quality standards are maintained

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
