**BFL CANADA is looking for a DC Retirement Associate for its Montreal Office**
As a member of our DC Retirement Consulting team, you will be responsible for leveraging the experience you have gained in the retirement sector by taking service responsibility for certain clients. You will continue learning and advance your career by working with our consultants on various mandates. You will play an active role in the growth of our practice by supporting our business development efforts. Take the next step in your career as part of a dynamic, client-focused and energetic team
**Your day as a DC Retirement Associate**
Advisory Services (90%)
- Teaming up with our Consultants, support our clients in all aspects of DC consulting: plan design, investments, vendor research and implementation, participant engagement, monitoring and governance, ongoing plan optimization.
- Plan, coordinate, prepare and quality assure regular client DC plan-monitoring reports; identify key observations and recommendations to optimize plan performance.
- Research and analyze investment options, prepare performance summaries and benchmarking; recommend investment option changes accordingly.
- Act as first point of contact with clients and providers for questions and service.
- Actively participate in client meetings.
- Participate in various projects to develop our ideas, intellectual capital and tools.
- Keep abreast of pension regulations, CRA (tax) rules, DC industry developments and plan management best practices.
Business Development (10%)
- Analyze the situation of potential clients; prepare diagnostic reports and preliminary recommendations.
- Contribute to the preparation and presentation of proposals.
- Participate in the visibility of the firm through articles and presence at events in our sector.
- University degree in Actuarial Science, Finance or Business.
- Minimum of 4 years of DC consulting and/or DC provider client service experience or;
- DB profile ready for a career change to DC - Experience in DB administration and client service with a good knowledge of pension regulations.
- Good understanding of DC plan design, provider services, institutional investments, retirement and relevant tax legislation, as well as DC industry best practices and regulatory compliance across Canada.
- Commitment to obtaining a Quebec life insurance license within the first year of employment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- First-rate analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently while being part of a client-oriented, hard-working and high-performing, fun team.
