**DESCRIPTION**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
- Supporting senior team members to ensure accurate cost control reports on major energy infrastructure projects across Canada.
- Assist with monitoring job performance by analyzing actual data, reviewing project costs and producing accurate reports for key stakeholders.
- Collaboratively working with cross-functional business units such as project management teams, cost controllers, accounting, and finance.
- Ensure precise and meticulous data entry and reporting for cost, progress, while ensuring compliance with project management and client procedures.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Committed to a four-month summer work-term, from September to December 2023.
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of assigned work.
- Seeks feedback from other team members and clients to improve quality of deliverables.
- Committed to building on existing and developing new skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using programs such as SharePoint, Excel and Word.
- Good organizational skills.
- Interest in major energy infrastructure construction projects is an asset.

**DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS**
- Passionate about data analytics in an evolving fast-paced construction industry.

**EDUCATION**
- Currently enrolled in a post secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Preference will be given to students in their 3rd or 4th year in a relevant degree program.

**LANGUAGES**
- Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
