Gas Utility Operator

Ankerton Gas Co-op Ltd. is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Gas Utility Operator/Gas Fitter/Plumber.

Ankerton Gas is a member owned co-operative based out of Bawlf, Alberta, serving an area east of Camrose, approximately 1 hour southeast of Edmonton. We also carry out appliance servicing for our customers.

Position overview:
Applicants must have the following experience/skill sets at the minimum but not limited to:

- Previous experience is preferred,
- Utility Operator, Gas or Plumbing Ticket and Training certificates, including relevant safety certificates,
- Positive individual with excellent customer service skills and communication,
- Self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team to maintain the company’s overall vision and mission,
- Ability to learn and accept training,
- An understanding of Gas Distribution Systems would be an asset,
- Ability to follow Health and Safety program,
- Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office, Pronto Forms, Apple Tablets and App usage would be an advantage,
- Good record keeping skills,
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities,
- Valid Class 5 drivers’ license, Class 1 would be an asset.
