Primary Responsibilities
- Certified Perfusionist with the Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion and the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion or eligibility for certification is required
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience is preferred (applicants with less experience may be considered)
- Previous experience with membrane oxygenators, cardiac assist devices and hemoconcentration is required.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of our clinical perfusion practice as well as an interest in research and the publication/presentation of related research is considered to be essential.
- Ability to work in conjunction with Cardiac Surgeons and other members of the heath care team
- Experience with the many facets of extracorporeal technology, ie. Cell salvaging and plasma sequestration, intra-aortic balloon pumping and ECMO is considered an asset.
