Meat Mixer Marination

**GENERAL**:
Meat Mixers are responsible for contributing to the efficient and orderly flow of raw materials for Further Processing by ensuring meat mixing duties are performed following formulations and achieving yields, in a safe and efficient workplace. The Meat Mixer will be responsible for following established food safety and quality procedures.
- Collect meat needed for formulations from the holding cooler.
- Based on the formulation sheets, prepared marinade and mix with meat.
- Ensure that mixed meat is placed into tanks and properly labelled.
- Assemble machines as required (e.g., grinders and tumblers)
- Prepare materials for defrosting by method of re-stacking and spacer to provide air flow.
- Adhere to foods safety and HACCP principles
- Keep work area clean, free of slip and trip hazards at all times.
- Other duties as directed by Meat Mixing Lead Hand and Supervisors.

**Qualifications**
- Able to handle heavy lifting of up to 30kg boxes
- Experience with food safety and HACCP principles
- Must be dependable and hold an above average attendance record
- Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
- Good communication skills and able to work well in a team environment
- Ability to work well under pressure and with little supervision
- Responsible to maintain a hand truck and forklift license

**Working Environment**:

- Full-time position
- Monday to Friday work week
- Shift: 12:00 am - 8:30 am
- Wet work environment

**Pay Rate**:

- $21.60 per hour + applicable shift premiums + attendance bonus
