As an ERP Materials Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of our ERP data related to the Material Master of our manufacturing products for the Measurement and Analysis (PAMA) business segment in Quebec City. Reporting to the Production Engineering Supervisor and to the Manufacturing Methods Group Leader, he/she is responsible for defining and updating our manufacturing operational Material Master data for maintenance and improvement purposes. The ERP Materials Specialist has an innate sense of organization, planning and coordination and strongly appreciates teamwork. He/she is proactive, a communicator and excels at problem solving.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Maintenance:

- Material Data Architecture: Define and maintain SAP solutions for Material Master (MM) and ensure alignment with other enterprise software packages (Product Lifecycle Management - PLM - Windchill) and with other SAP modules (inventory management, warehouse, procurement).
- Masters emerging knowledge and practices regarding material management in SAP, brings new solutions to ABB and spreads them throughout the organization.
- Creates and manages product data in SAP. Works closely with planning and production to keep material number information current.
- Participates in the material creation and engineering change processes to operations.
- Improvement:

- Coordinates, prioritizes, and follows up on the execution of the mandates under your responsibility, in conjunction with the production line process specialist and his group leader.
- Participates in problem solving efforts.
- Proactively escalates mandate execution issues.
- Coordinates problem resolution analyses and change requests (engineering changes) by assessing impacts on product architecture and configuration management.

**Your background**:

- College or university studies in engineering (industrial, physical, electro-mechanical or other) or in business management.
- Proficiency in material management (Material Master) in a manufacturing management tool: ERP (SAP)
- Proficiency in the configuration of product lifecycle management (PLM) and tools (e.g. PTC Windchill))
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite collaborative tools (Sharepoint), ticketing and case management tools (Atlassian's JIRA, or equivalent).
- Experience in project management or technical coordination, product architecture, production engineering or continuous improvement.
- Lean 6 Sigma (L6S) yellow or green belt training, a plus.
- Excellent experience in a high-tech manufacturing field.
- Demonstrates strong autonomy, responsibility, ownership and intellectual curiosity.
- Collaborative, solution-oriented approach with strong oral and written communication skills (French and English).
