1. **Cocktail Creation and Innovation**: Mixologists are responsible for creating unique cocktails that blend different flavors, techniques, and cultural influences. They experiment with various ingredients to develop signature drinks that define the bar's identity.

2. **Menu Development**: They design and periodically update the cocktail menu, often collaborating with the culinary team to ensure that the drink offerings complement the food menu, particularly in a fusion setting.

3. **Quality Control**: Ensuring the quality and consistency of drinks is paramount. This includes tasting and adjusting cocktails, training staff on proper technique, and maintaining high standards for presentation.

4. **Ingredient Knowledge**: A mixologist must have a deep understanding of the flavors and properties of a wide range of spirits, mixers, and garnishes, as well as how they combine.

5. **Customer Engagement**: Engaging with guests to explain drink elements, suggest pairings, and receive feedback is crucial. They also personalize drinks according to customer preferences.

6. **Educating Staff**: Teaching bar staff about new cocktails, the stories behind them, and proper techniques ensures that all team members can produce and serve drinks to standard.

7. **Inventory Management**: They often manage the inventory of spirits, fresh ingredients, and bar supplies, which includes ordering, stocking, and preventing waste.

8. **Trend Awareness**: Staying informed about industry trends and new products is necessary to keep the bar relevant and exciting.

9. **Event Planning**: Mixologists may be involved in planning and executing special events or promotions, which can include crafting themed drinks.

10. **Compliance**: Ensuring that the bar complies with all relevant laws and regulations regarding alcohol service, including responsible service and health and safety standards.

**Salary**: $40,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- serving, night cocktails, bartending, management: 2 years (required)
- Bartending: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
