**Basic Function**

To assist the EREMA operator with the operation and duties associated with recycling material from the Conversion and Extrusion process.

**Tasks**
- Follows safe working practices in the workplace; must attend and participate in all department and appropriate plant safety meetings and training sessions.
- Daily safety checks and documentation of lift truck report any item requiring attention to supervisor or lead hand.
- Changes fork lift truck batteries when required checking water levels and readings.
- Assists the Operator in his daily activities.
- Sorting and stacking gaylord boxes of plain and printed scrap.
- Picking and transferring gaylord boxes to the loading platform on machine for dumping onto shredder conveyor.
- Removing empty boxes breaking down and stacking.
- Inspecting boxes of material for foreign material.
- Remove any foreign material from shredder conveyor.
- Cutting up rolls of material from extrusion for recycling.
- Cleaning back flush station.
- Cleaning shaker table.
- Picks up bags of CaC03 and feeds them into the recycling machine.
- Inspects boxes of scrap for foreign material.
- Checks the ground-up plastic for metal when the metal detector is activated and restarts the feed system.
- Delivers the Gaylord samples to Extrusion for testing.
- Stores full gaylords into storage racks.
- Climbing onto railcars to remove seals from top hatch.
- Connecting vacuum hoses between railcars and silos.
- Advises the Operator of any problems he cannot resolve.
- Liaises with the incoming Helper at shift change to communicate information to him.
- Signs off on the Quality Control Set-Up Sheets and other quality sheets.
- Fills in production reports as required.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Complies with Company policies and procedures.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by Management and or operator.

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Assist the operator with the efficient continuous operation of the recycling of material from T-Shirt and extrusion departments.
- Ensuring the correct transfer of resin from railcars into silos.

**Education Requirements**

☑High School Diploma ☐ Bachelors Degree

☐ Vocational School or Some College ☐ Masters Degree

☐ Associates Degree

Trained and licensed to operate counter balance or narrow isle lift trucks.

Trained and certified on working at heights and fall protection.

**Working Conditions**
- 8 hrs rotating shifts
- Expected to work overtime when required
- **PPE required** steel toe safety shoes, hearing protection, protective cut proof gloves when cutting material, heat protective gloves when working on areas of extruder, face shield and apron for changing screens, fall protection harness when climbing onto railcars.
- Summer month’s plant can become very warm.
- Working outside in winter months.
- Material handling equipment lift trucks, hand trucks moving around in isles.

**Physical Effort**
- Moderate lifting of full cartons, any heavy lifting assistance is provided with hoists or added personnel in the area

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.93-$19.06 per hour
