The Corporate Planning and Reporting Branch leads Ministry planning and accountability functions, including strategic and business planning, operational planning, performance measurement, reporting, and enterprise risk management.

Reporting to the Manager, Planning and Measurement, the Accountability Analyst coordinates the ministry's planning and reporting processes.

In this role, you’ll be designing and monitoring business processes that meet the unique needs of the ministry.

You’ll collaborate with the team and with colleagues across the department to develop public facing business plans and annual reports that meet the needs of legislators and the public.

You’ll also develop and implement approaches for operational planning and progress reporting, to ensure the ministry can operationalize its strategy, monitor initiatives, and adjust its course as necessary.

Specific duties include:

- Develop ministry operational planning and reporting processes (tools, guidelines, consultation, etc.).
- Lead ministry operational planning and reporting to support ongoing accountability and information sharing.
- Lead and monitor the implementation of the ministry operational planning and reporting process and the ministry operational plan and operational reports.
- Coordinate the development of the ministry three-year business plan in conformance with Government of Alberta Business Plan Standards.
- Support and coordinate the development of performance measures for each business plan outcome and support evaluation within the Ministry.
- Coordinate development of the ministry annual report to meet Alberta Treasury Board and Finance directives.
- Support implementation of the ministry Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process.
- Contribute to the achievement of the goals of the Corporate Services Branch.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with two or more years of related experience.

Equivalencies:

- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree on a one for one basis.
