Lead Bartender

As a Lead Bartender, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests enjoy exceptional service while fostering a supportive and engaging environment for the bar team. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Guest Experience: Lead the bar team in creating a welcoming atmosphere and going above and beyond to ensure every guest leaves with a lasting impression. Address concerns or complaints professionally to enhance the overall experience.
- Team Training: Oversee comprehensive training for bar staff to maintain consistent service standards and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Train and mentor junior bartenders on best practices and service techniques.
- Order Management: Handle ordering of GFS supplies and beer inventory, maintaining organized bar storage and ensuring stock levels meet demand.
- Liquor Pickup: Coordinate accurate and timely pickup of liquor orders to ensure seamless operations.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of beverages, ensuring they meet Shelter’s high standards. Collaborate with the Bar Manager to address any quality issues promptly.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise bar staff during shifts, offering guidance and feedback while ensuring adherence to procedures, cleanliness, and overall bar organization.
- Communication: Take ownership of bar team communication through 7shifts, keeping everyone informed and aligned.
- Concept Development: Work with the Bar Manager and team on creative new features and menu ideas, helping to keep Shelter’s bar program innovative and exciting.

- Proven leadership experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering above-and-beyond guest experiences.
- Ability to inspire and support a team while maintaining high service standards.
- Knowledge of bar systems, inventory management, and quality control.

Pay: From $23.75 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Serving/Bartending: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Serving It Right (required)
